![]() ![]() This was not with Compressor using the eGPU, this was anytime it was physically connected. The ultimate dealbreaker for me with Compressor was realizing that when I had an external GPU connected to any encoding machine, all h264/h265 processing done in Compressor at any setting was slightly softened and offset down and to the right. For ProRes I just do any transcoding I need in Resolve now (was never able to resolve color space translation issues using EditReady). Versus x264/x265 it's painfully slow, doesn't provide access to basic encoding options (GOP size beyond a static keyframe interval, CRF quality settings, tunings, etc), and I can consistently get better subjective visual quality at similar file sizes. I gave up entirely on Compressor a couple years ago. Looking for something more local?
